Cream silk taffeta woven with textured stripes, brocaded with
widely scattered red, pink and purple floral sprays and sprigs,
square neckline with edge-to-edge front closure, elbow length
fitted untrimmed sleeves, waist with front and back rounded
point, open front skirt with fly-fringe edged ruched silk
applied in zig-zag pattern, skirt knife pleated to bodice back
and sides, homespun linen bodice and sleeve lining, (neckline
edged with silk ribbon tie, possibly later addition, some
staining) excellent. Petticoat not included.
